Synopsis

ностальгия (Nostalgia) is a short documentary about bmx rider Roman Khayrutdinov, who competed in the russian national team. Filming this portrait was really inspiring to me, as it highlights how lives of talented individuals can be changed by global decisions and the importance of choosing the path you believe in. We spent 3 days filming by the sea, and as I got to know Roman, it became clear that I not only wanted to make a bmx movie but that I also wanted to share his story.
